Showcase
Last
November as a result in part of AIME’s lobbying of Ofcom, the regulator
made an important update to its Broadcast Code which recognised the role
of applications in participation TV. We predicted then that this would
reignite the touch paper for mobile interactive TV services.
Last
week AIME member, Mobile Interactive Group, launched its Interactive
Broadcast Platform and announced exclusive deals with SKY and ITV (
specifically re-introducing mobile voting ) . This perfectly exemplifies
how savvy service providers and broadcasters alike are now more keen than
ever to explore the opportunities presented by mobile subject to there
being strict adherence to compliance and a positive user experience.
